We are very interested in learning about people from other cultures and would love to offer a warm, hospitable place for international students to stay so they have a very positive experience in Chicago. We understand what it is like to be in a new country, learning a new language, because we spent our childhood outside of the United States in an international community. We have also traveled extensively throughout Europe and Africa, as well as some experience in Asia. We love to use our cross-cultural experience to welcome new people to Chicago. We also love to teach - two of us are teachers - and enjoy using our love for education to help people of all ages learn and grow.

Location & transportation: We are located on the east side of the Irving Park neighborhood. In just a short walk, you can get to the Addison stop of the Blue line. We are a couple blocks away from bus stops for the Addison 152 bus and the Irving Park 80 bus, both of which would take you to the Brown and Red lines. We are centrally located to popular neighborhoods like Wrigleyville, Lincoln Square, and Logan Square. It is very easy to commute to downtown Chicago. We are also within walking distance of a Divvy station, a Target, a grocery store (Jewel), a pharmacy (Walgreens and CVS), many restaurants, the McFetridge sports center, and parks. It is a delightful place to live!

Rooms: We have three extra bedrooms to host homestay guests. Two of them are private rooms on the main level and share a bathroom. On the upper level, there is a larger private bedroom that has a private en-suite bathroom attached to the bedroom. (If you are traveling with a friend and would like to book our larger room for both of you, please let us know - we can set it up as a "double" if needed.) All rooms come with bed, desk, closet, linens (pillow, sheets, blanket), and towel. Laundry and high-speed wi-fi are included, as well as self-serve breakfast and family-style dinner. There is a large balcony off the kitchen, an outdoor patio, and a nice yard for relaxing or hanging out. Our home is pet-free and smoke-free.
