Greetings!
About me:
I am Maria! I am from Brazil, but I have lived in Chicago for over three decades and consider it my hometown. Throughout the years, I have hosted students from all over the globe. I love to travel; thus, being an international student host allows me to learn about the world. My academic and professional are in international education, study abroad, and academic advising.

About the Home:
- You will have your private bedroom with a double bed and access to the entire apartment.
- There is a kitchen where you can prepare your meals, a bathroom with a shower just outside the bedroom door, a dining and living room, and a backyard.
- A laundry room is on the premises; laundry detergent and other amenities are included.

The Neighborhood:
- Edgewater is a lakefront community on the North Side of Chicago, six miles away from the Chicago Loop.
- There are many local and international grocery stores and farmers' markets.
- The residence is just minutes away from the Lakefront.
- Several art galleries, theaters, cultural centers, museums, antique shops, banks, bars, and coffee shops surround our neighborhood.
- The house is a five-minute walk from Loyola Lake Shore Campus and a ten-minute ride on the intercampus bus to Northwestern University in Evanston.
- Truman College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago, is just fifteen minutes away by public transportation.

More About the Residence:
- Walkable - A walkers paradise; daily errands do not require a car o bus.
- Excellent Transit - five different bus lines are within 2-3 minutes from the residence. The Granville and Loyola Red Line train stations are within a five-minute walk from our home.
- Extremely Bikable - the residence is on the path to the Lakefront Bike Trail.
